Growing up

One afternoon we went to pick up Derek from his nap, and discovered this; he wasn't crying or fussy at all, just playing.
This was a clue that he needed to graduate up to a real sized crib.

This is a picture of Derek's first experience with sweet potatoes.
You can tell he hasn't quite got the hang of it yet.
He enjoyed it, but that was the problem. He would get too excited and would be quivering in anticipation; getting the food to his mouth without him grabbing the spoon first was a challenge.
